Background Information:
wiki

Personality:
During the course of her time spent on the meteor in Act 6, Rose has managed to loosen up some. While much of her base characteristics remain the same, she's become more open in showing mirth, as can be evidenced by how much more frequently she is seen smiling and laughing. This change could be attributed to several things such as maturation, a new lease on life after reaching god-tier, an attempt to better herself, being in love, or even being around others more often.

When we first met Rose, she was very reserved in showing her emotions (when she did smile, it was often a small one.) She also does not like to admit to sincerity, often hiding behind a wall of sarcasm. She doesn't joke around much, but when she does it is through a display of sarcastic wit. She is also very cynical, though it leans to the side of realism as opposed to pessimism.

She is a very private person and is a bit of a loner. Her only friends appear to be ones she'd met online. Until the time they entered the medium, she had never spent any time with them face to face. Even now she still enjoys having time to herself and will stand back to observe in larger groups unless she has something important to say.

Her observational skills play directly into her interest in psychology and her ability to analyze her friends and acquaintances. Dave is the one who most often falls prey to her analyses, primarily due to the fact that he frequently exhibits behavior that is very Freudian in nature. While Rose is aware of and largely supports the debunking of Freudian psychology, it is difficult to not reference it when analyzing him. This skill in conjunction with her seer abilities allows her to aptly make sense of whatever situation is at hand.

Rose's title is the Seer of Light, as such she has the ability to see glimpses of the future. These glimpses have not always led her down what others might think is the "best" path. She learned that there was no way to win the game and began seeking methods to change this with both research and making use of her abilities as a seer. She began to act more mysteriously, worrying her friends, especially John and Kanaya. It eventually led to her attempts to break the game and to being influenced by both Doc Scratch and the voices of the gods in the Furthest Ring.

At Doc Scratch's urging she consulted the magic cue ball about the intent of the horrorterrors and it caused her to go grimdark. She lost control which led to her death in a fight against Jack. Once she awoke on the Derse moon (thanks to a reviving kiss from John) she went about her suicide mission of destroying the Green Sun, which in fact actually created it. Her and Dave reached god-tier as a result of this mission. This clearly seems to be the path that was meant to be taken as if they hadn't, there would be no way for them to survive the scratch, a necessary step in being able to win the game.

Not only will winning the game require her seer abilities, but also her intelligence and sheer diligence. She has an expansive vocabulary which she uses liberally to show off how learned she is. Rose uses perfect grammar and syntax in most of her communication both verbally and via pesterchum.

The only time this really falters is when she's drunk. Her speech becomes slurred, though she still manages to make mostly proper use of her large vocabulary and is able to express deep thoughts, though she sometimes loses her point along the way. She has a tendency to speak at length, often doing what amounts to information dumps. Meenah refers to her as "extra talky human" and "rosefang" comparing her to Aranea whom she calls "windfang".

Her interest in alcohol, both in creating and consuming it in the new session timeline started during the second year on the meteor. When Dream Roxy sleep floats drunkenly through the dream bubble that Rose, Dave and several others are in with Meenah, Rose and Dave are whispering to each other about Roxy being a sloppy sleeper and Rose informs him that Roxy's drunk. The conversation continues for a bit and she tells him that she has personal experience in being drunk back during the doomed timeline. As when it was just her and Dave left, Rose had four months of doing pretty much nothing, which led her to begin consuming the stocks of alcohol in her house out of boredom. She adds that the taste of it really grew on her.

Roxy and Rose seem to be in a vicious cycle of influence as Roxy states (at another point) that she started drinking to get closer to her mom since the house was stocked with alcohol. It doesn't help that it's incredibly common for alcoholism to run in families due to genetics. Given how Roxy and Rose are related through ectobiology/genetics, it's no surprise that they are predisposed to alcoholism even without the added behavioral influences that they received.

At a point some time after that conversation, while on the meteor, Dave makes a comment about how they're teenagers alone in space with no adults so they should do crazy things like get drunk. This comment, her boredom at the time, alongside the contents of the previous two paragraphs are key factors in leading Rose to start "alchemizing" alcohol (which she admits it is nothing more than chemistry.) She begins consuming it that afternoon in order to calm her nerves for a date with Kanaya, which she winds up super late to because she's drunk. However, her being drunk doesn't seem to bother Kanaya and they have their date anyway and form a matespritship. The relationship had been brewing for quite some time, but between good old liquid courage and Rose's interest in troll romance, it finally happened.

Before the retcon, her drinking continued at an unhealthy level. However, after the retcon, which took her and the others back to before her time on the meteor, her sobriety was one of the resultant changes. While she does start off drinking as mentioned above, she does not continue with drinking on a regular basis and spends most, if not all, of her time sober. She owes this to Kanaya and Vriska's influence and interference, respectively.

Rose has dabbled in a guilty pleasure of reading trashy troll romance novels, the first of which she swiped from Karkat when he was trying to explain troll romance to Dave. Troll romance is only one of her interests in troll culture. She has spent a lot of time on the meteor reading up on things related to SBURB/SGRUB as well as troll history and culture.

Her reading interests do not end there. She is also an avid fan of reading obscure literature and texts regarding the bestially strange. This interest also spreads to a more general interest in all things cephalopodic as can be evidenced by the things she collects and wears. She is secretive about her interest in creative writing, possibly because she enjoys writing wizard (fan)fiction. Her interest in wizards is genuine and she believes her mom's choice in wizardly decor is meant to mock her. She is also a talented violinist.

Another interest and talent of hers is knitting, which she got into after receiving a gift of wool yarn and knitting needles from John. While she only intended to learn in order to give him a thoughtful gift in return, she wound up enjoying it a lot and has made many knitted things since including a laptop cozy that features a squiddle on it. Rose is also a bit messy as evidenced by several knitting projects strewn about her floor. Though some things like her books are kept in very neat order.

The interest in knitting leads to her using needlekind in her strife specibus. She is able to use the needles and yarn to great effect in defeating monsters. Through alchemy she creates magic wands out of them which she wields with great power.

Appearance:

Rose has blonde hair and purple eyes - details which cannot be seen in many of the images found in Homestuck because of the style most of the pages are drawn in, (and there are too many to trawl through to find one that does.) She is also known to wear black lipstick at all times.

Abilities:
Seer powers, magic/spells, and flight. Her seer powers allow her to see portions of the future. She can only seek out specific visions with the help of the magic cue ball, but other visions come to her at any time. As part of these powers, Rose also knows the right choices to make in order to get the best possible outcome for their session. She is able to do magic with her magic knitting needles - the Thorns of Oglogoth. The spells she uses are never strictly outlined/explained in canon aside from that she used magic to send the GameFAQ to The Furthest Ring, and other non-specific offensive spells while battling. Her spells are strong enough that she's able to blast a hole through an ogre's head with a spell. Rose going god tier also allows her to fly/float.

▸SAMPLES:
First Person:
Greetings.
I have many items I am in need of, and seeing as I am incapable of creating them myself,
I need to find someone, (or several someones,) who possesses the ability to make them on my behalf.
Payment will be negotiated on a case by case basis dependent upon quantity and quality of items produced.

The list is as follows:
black lipstick of the finest quality
knitting needles in various sizes
skeins of yarn in varying colors, sizes and fiber types
purple pens
notebooks or journals
violin

There is another item I would like to request, but it requires a creator that believes,
with every fiber of their being, that wizards are real.
If this describes you, I implore you to step forward.

Third Person:
Despite all her efforts, Rose still couldn't believe anything into existence. She was dependent upon others to get the things she needed and it was perhaps the most frustrating thing about this place. Self-reliance was something she thrived on, and to have it denied to her in such a way as this was intolerable.

She had carefully studied others as they made things for her, and would sometimes ask them questions about their process once they were done. There had to be some aspect she was missing in the equation. In order to find that piece, Rose had an entire journal dedicated to logging her attempts.

Currently, she was writing her one thousandth entry.

Attempt no.: 1000
Object: black lipstick
Method: I closed me eyes as I envisioned an open tube of lipstick in one hand and the cap for it in the other. It was black in color, with a rich, creamy texture that I could feel as I ran it across my lips. It perfectly covered them with only one coat. Once I was done, I admired my reflection in the mirror as I lowered the lipstick into the tube and put the cap on.
Result: failed. When I opened my eyes, there was no lipstick in hand or on my lips.

It seemed it was time to give up on this endeavor. If in a thousand tries she'd been unable to create anything tangible, it was unlikely that another try would produce a different result. Rose sighed and closed her journal. Was it even worth keeping it at this point? After a few moments of pondering, she decided it would be beneficial to keep it. If nothing else, it would serve as a reminder of how futile her objective was.

Back home this would have been easy. But, without an Alchemiter it seemed she would be unable to do any object creation. However, even if she did have one, it would be virtually useless for her object based needs here. She would need two objects in the first place in order to create another object. As for getting an Alchemiter - it was unlikely anyone could imagine something so complex and large into existence here.

Her magical abilities were also of no use to her here, especially for the matter at hand. For starters, she didn't have any of her magic wands. Secondly, Rose was uncertain that having them would make much difference. She had never used them for creation. However, wands were possibly in the realm of something that could be created for her. She would need to find someone who not only had a strong belief in traditional magic, but also had the skills to imagine them into existence. If they are successful in this endeavor, it could be beneficial in the future.
